My Experience with Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick Bad Girl Bronze
As the name suggests it comes in a crayon form with a plastic cap, the packaging is very basic and nothing too fancy but sturdy and easy to use. The crayon/stick has a colored end which helps in identifying the shade. It comes in a sharpen-able form and has to sharpened frequently which does cause some product wastage.
I have always liked brown and bronze eye shadows and hence had to get this shade. Bad Girl Bronze is a dark ruddy bronze shade with hint of shimmer in it. The shimmer present is not too obvious and goes well with the shade. The color can also be worn as eyeliner as well as on the waterline too and did not cause any irritation on my eyes. It is super versatile I like using it as a base too for powder shadows and is great for Smokey eyes.
The formula is very creamy and application is quite smooth, it does not feel heavy on the eyes. It can easily be blended with fingers or an eye shadow brush within the first few seconds of application and then it sets and dries. The pigmentation is also quite impressive and I did not need to go over and over to get desired intensity, one to two swipes are enough to get opaque payoff. In spite of being a cream shadow it does not look cakey or uneven on eyelids if blended well.
The staying power is decent if not that great, on my oily lids it stayed for 4-5 hours only and then starts to crease, hence using primer or base underneath is necessary for me, the 24 hours lasting claims fall flat here.
- Good color pay-off.
- Glides smoothly without any tugging.
- Does not smudge easily once set.
- Pretty dark bronze shade with subtle shimmer.
- Can be worn as a liner too.
- Safe for waterline use.
- Average staying power, not up to the claims.
- I wish it came in a twist up packaging.
- Getting a sharp point while sharpening is difficult to draw thin lines.
Overall Rating : 3.9/5
Final verdict: It’s a great versatile eye shadow crayon and I really like the shade. If you are looking for a bronze eye shadow then do check it out.
