Hey Everyone ♥,
It has been a long since I wanted to do this post but somehow did not get time to do it. But since its TMB’s 100th post, I got an inspiration to do it. So here it is! The post on Mauritius – A heaven on earth, where we went for our honeymoon which was gifted by my lil bro 🙂 (God bless you sweetheart).
Mauritius is undoubtedly a heaven on earth. Crystal clear water, water sports, superb weather & great hospitality, you can’t expect for more. Since we got married on 11.12.13 (11th Dec,13) & went to Mauritius in December, it was summer out there. So the weather was hot, I mean real Hot. Because of the changed weather condition the Husband got home-food sick on the very first day that he had to eat only fruits & eggs. 🙄 Ugh! That not affecting what we had coming, we enjoyed our stay there.
We stayed at Hotel Tamassa, Bel Ombre, which is one of the best resorts of Mauritius. It had Lux* spa for relaxation 😎 . I was so over the moon to enjoy their services. So on the arrival day since we were tired like hell, we spent the whole day exploring the Beach Resort & its services with some great live music & dance shows.
On the second day we went to see the Seven Coloured Earth & Ship Model factory. You guys can opt for some other sightseeing as there is nothing special about those.
The third day we went to Belle Mare beach for some water activities like para sailing & under water sea walk. It was one of the most thrilling experience we had specially for the husband as he some weird phobia about getting under water 😀 .
As the Sun was firing its heat on us, on the very same day we got sun burnt. Ugh! & The cherry on the cake was I forgot to pack my sunscreen in the vanity box. (I was like, OMG! How could I forgot the most IMP thing in the vanity box) & then we had to buy the God-forsakingly OverPriced sunblock from the Hotel (before & after both). So guys always make the check list before going out on any trip 😛
Even with the Sun burnt skin we did Kayaking & Snorkelling. It was fun though. On fourth day we went to see Casela Bird Park. It has some great species of birds (All of them Imported 😀 . On the way back to our resort we stopped for shopping at Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius (One of the few malls in Mauritius) . Well, I did find some great brands there but most of which are easily available in India hence did not shop but when we found candy store, we had to take those sweet candies (the husband has a big big sweet tooth).
On fifth day we went to see Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (Did I mention Mauritius is “Chota India” – Majority of the people in Mauritius are Exported Indians whilst the Pre-Independence Era! Right from PM to Tour Guides you will find funny Indian Names like if the name in India is Urmila Yadav then the Name in Mauritius would be OORMEELAA YAADAOO 😀 ) Botanical Garden (that’s one Funny Indian name) & Domain les Pailles , a Rum distillery producing the country’s own brew! It has a spice garden also. We actually tasted the Rum which was produced there. It was Yum and a Hell-like Bitter!
In botanical garden the husband enjoyed a lot as he being a photographer got to click such beauties. 😆
On the last day which was a Friday, the resort had arranged some great DJ music for everyone. The music was Indo Western. It was awesome. So that concluded our tour.
It was Mauritius through my lens. I am sorry that don’t have any good clicks of the resort . If you want to see the same diary on Dubai please let me know.
♥Thanks for visiting my blog. If you love what you see, please share the love ♥
