I keep changing shampoos every now and then because I still haven’t found my HG. This time i’m trying L’Oreal Nutri shine shampoo because it claims to make hair shiny and my lifeless dull hair needs shine. 😛 Well that’s enough about my hair dilemma, let’s move to the review now.
Price: Rs 230 for 360ml (available in small versions)
Dull hair? Bring back the power of shine to your hair. With an innovative formula, the L’Oréal Paris laboratories have developed Nutri-Gloss with Pearl Protein™.
L’Oreal shampoo comes in a big pink plastic packaging which is sturdy and has a flip-flop cap on top. The cap closes with a clock sound so there is no leakage while travelling. I really like the pink colored bottle but it’s heavy so you cannot travel with it.
The shampoo has a very pleasant strawberry fragrance which isn’t overpowering at all. I really love the aroma. Whenever i use it, the scent lingers in the bathroom and it feels refreshing. But it vanishes after 5-10 minutes of application; I really wish it lasted for few more hours.
The texture is neither thick nor runny. I have shoulder length hair and coin size amount is usually enough to cleanse but with this shampoo i need twice the amount. So, you need extra shampoo to make it lather well and to cleanse completely. I generally don’t have much time in the morning to first shampoo and then condition them. So, i skip conditioners on daily basis. Without a conditioner, it makes my hair smooth but not silky smooth. The claims if adding shine is also not true because it doesn’t add any shine to my dull hair. But with a conditioner it makes my frizzy unruly hair more manageable and frizz-free. But I generally don’t have much time to use a conditioner so I don’t use this shampoo much. I use my Schwarzkopf one as it makes my hair feel so smooth and parlor like.
I am not very impressed with the results. It cleanses hair well but doesn’t provide anything else. I have used much better shampoo at cheaper price before So i would say skip this one girls.
- Justified price and quantity
- Fragrance is very pleasant
- Makes my hair smooth
- Cleanses hair completely
- Works good with a conditioner
- Doesn’t lather well
- Doesn’t add any shine
- Doesn’t control frizz
Recommendation: L’Oreal nutri shine shampoo cleanses hair well without leaving any residue behind. It makes them smooth and soft. But it doesn’t add any shine as claimed and neither has it controlled my frizz. Overall, it’s an ordinary shampoo and I will not recommend it to anyone. There are much better options in the market.
