My Experience with Lakme Lip Love Lip Care Strawberry
The packaging is uber cute and different from other lip balms. It comes in a hot pink retractable tube along with a transparent cap, I like the color coded packaging. The cap shuts securely and the lip balm has a moisturizing core in the center. It has a mild strawberry fragrance. I quite like the whole concept of this dual core lip balms. It has SPF of 15 which is a must for warm sunny days.
The color strawberry is a beautiful mauve pink color, I like that the color is not the average pink like most other lip balms and is slightly different. It looks really bright in the tube but translates onto a more subtle color. It is a light cool toned pink which will look great on lighter skin tones. For a tinted lip balm it has average tint and needs at least 4 – 5 swipes for the color to show up on my lips, I doubt if it will even show up on pigmented lips. But it is good enough for everyday use when you want a subtle hint of color on lips.
Texture is soft, moisturizing and application is very smooth. It provides much needed moisture and hydration to dry lips keeping them soft along with a glossy finish. It feels very light without any waxy or greasy feeling. It stays on my lips for 3 hours which is not up to the claims after which reapplication is needed.
- Very hydrating.
- Buttery smooth texture.
- Has SPF 15.
- Gives a sheer tint of pink color.
- No heavy or sticky feeling.
- Cute looking packaging.
- Price is affordable.
- Tint is very light and won’t show up on darker lips.
- Lasting power is not up to the claims.
Overall Rating: 3.8/5
I think lakme has come up with a great new concept of dual core lip balms with attractive packaging and great shades. If you like tinted lip balms then do try the strawberry variant for good moisturization along with subtle hint of color.
