Home Remedies For Dandruff Scalp

Most of the times we get so busy with our skin that we forget to pamper our hair. That’s why it is important to take good care of your hair as well. Never neglect the hair problems. One such problem is Dandruff.
Dandruff, also known as Seborrheic dermatitis is a common scalp condition. Lots of factors can contribute for that. But the most common are dry skin, irritated oily skin, growth of bacteria and fungus on the scalp, inflammatory skin conditions, etc. It causes irritation along with excessive formation of dry skin flakes on the scalp.
Many of the people think that they have to splurge to get those shiny, healthy locks but its myth. Our kitchen holds remedies for all such problems. Let’s have a look.
Lemon with Curd –
Lemon is a great remedy to treat dandruff because of citric acid content. Mix half lemon juice with 2 spoons of curd. It works wonders for dandruff. You can easily see the result in 2 uses.
Apple Cider Vinegar –
The acidity of Apple Cider Vinegar changes the pH of your scalp which makes hard for yeast to grow on scalp. Mix equal quantity of water & apple cider vinegar. Put it in spray bottle. Spray it on your hair 20 minutes before the shampoo. Do it thrice a week to see the result.
Coconut Oil –
Apply coconut oil on your scalp before one night of shampoo. It is tried and tested remedy for dandruff
Aloe Vera –
The cooling effect will calm the irritation of scalp. It had the antiseptic properties which help control Dandruff.
Essential Oil – You can try any essential oils of your choice. Massage the hair with any of the oils and let it soak in the scalp at least for 1 hour then shampoo as usual.
Baking Soda –
Rub baking soda on your scalp. With repetitive use it helps restore the natural oils of your hair which prevents your scalp from becoming dry & flaky.
Believe it or not but aspirin actually helps from flaking because of the salicylic acid ingredient which is present in almost all medicated shampoos. You can mix to aspirins in your normal shampoo & do the shampoo as usual.
