My Experience with
I bought this scrub in a hurry at the airport since I was running late for a meeting so needed something minty to freshen up and after using it for 9-10 times, I’m ready to review it before throwing it in the trash can 😳
The scrub is sky blue colored with tiny dark blue exfoliating beads which can be noticed when you take it out on your palm. The blue beads are small and I feel that this can only used to scrub off the dead skin and does not do what it’s supposed to, like uprooting Black Heads. It has none to less harshness on facial skin. It has a tingling minty fragrance which leaves off as soon as you wash the scrub off your face.
The scrub has a cooling effect like sticking your face on a Frozen Peas Packet 🙂 It deep cleanses the skin and makes it fresh and clean but does not really uproot those long itchy black heads. I don’t usually get blacks but on a weekend trekking trip there are a lot of these at night so have to use something which I can use to get rid of them. Earlier I used to steam them off but that loosens my skin. My skin looks brighter after using it and I love the texture but alas if this does not do what it’s supposed to, it’s of no use to me. It might for those who get black heads often and use it every alternate day for better skin.
Pros of Garnier Pure Active Blackheads Uprooting Scrub:
- Budget Cosmetic Definitely
- Mint is great for summers!
- Has Salicylic Acid (Natural Toner)
- Easily available at Medical Stores/ Chemists.
Cons of Garnier Pure Active Blackheads Uprooting Scrub:
- Sudden BlackHead Removal Not Good
- Spots Brighten Up
- Some Ingredients might break out somebody
- Skin feels stretched
TMB Rating: 2.5/5
Will I buy Again : Hell No. I want something that gives immediate effect, For e.g. The Coffee Scrub from The Nature’s Co. reviewed already is known to given better results immediately so would be using that from now on. All in all this one is a budget scrub from Garnier and can be used as a general scrub but not definitely for Black Heads.
