Forest Essentials Multani Mitti Ubtan Review

Hey Everyone♥,

Everybody loves deep cleansed face.  But achieving it is obviously a pain unless you are gifted with a skin like Victoria’s Secret Model ( those people are so skinny & so fresh faced, Girl you got to see those, I envy them).  We paint our face with different packs, then sit in the same position like a statue till the pack hardens.  Ugh!!!  We can’t even talk for that time 🙄  .  Then there is washing off that pack which actually takes ages, weird smell & messy towels if you don’t get the particles off your face.  Why God! Why?  Every time I apply any pack on my face I shout like this  👿  . Ugh!!  This is the messy part with any of the other face packs, which all of you must be aware of.  But the best part is they actually give you a deep cleansed & fresh look.  Well, not all of them but the best is!  So here I am talking about the best – Forest Essentials Multani Mitti Ubtan.

Well many of you know that Multani Mitti aka Fuller’s Earth has some astonishing properties.  I have read it somewhere that Fuller’s Earth makes an excellent cleansing component which offers highly absorbent qualities. It is abundant in minerals.  When applied on the skin it hardens slowly as it dries, and thus aids in absorbing the lifeless cells present on the skin surface making it oil free and moisturized. The nutrient in the fuller’s earth hydrates the skin thus leaving it smooth and glowing.

 What the Company says –

Ubtans, made from finely ground herb, flower and root powders which are sun dried and ground by hand, are used as cleansing scrubs or as face packs for deeper exfoliation. They are made into pastes by adding a small amount of the appropriate liquid, usually rosewater, milk or yoghurt; until the mixture achieves a smooth and creamy consistency. They contain Turmeric which is a strong anti-oxidant that prevents the ageing of the skin. It evens out skin tone and colour, and gives the skin a healthy glow. Fenugreek is deep-cleansing, highly nutritious in Vitamin B. In ancient Ayurveda, Dhataki flowers have their own significance. They were also used for fermentation while preparing Aasav and Arishta in place of yeast. Banyan Bark regenerates skin cells. Multani Mitti is deep-cleansing, purifying, detoxifying and mineral-rich. Its alkaline content corrects imbalances and neutralizes the skin tone.

 My take on the Product

I have combination oily skin which tends to be on oilier side in summers and drier in winters.  So I always use Ubtan/Face packs since ages even when I didn’t know how Multani Mitti/Fuller’s Earth work.  I have tried various packs starting from Himalayas to Forest Essentials.  But Forest Essentials Multani Mitti Ubtan is the best I liked.  It is simply because Forest Essentials make all natural product & free from any harsh chemicals.  And the cherry on the cake is one of my favorite brand i.e. Estee Lauder bought stakes in Forest Essentials:mrgreen:

The packaging of the powder is pretty convenient.  It comes in a container with a stopper ended with a golden screw cap.  For me whatever that glitters is Gold 🙂  .  So I find it very classy.  The Ubtan smells heavenly maybe because of rose water.  The aroma stays for a while even after washing the face.  The aroma of the Ubtan does half of the thing for me.  The Ubtan is very fine in texture which makes the washing part much easier compared to other face packs.  This is the biggest relief for me  😆  .  And like others Forest Essentials Multani Mitti Ubtan does not give that stretchy feeling to the skin.

I generally use it with rose water in summers and now that winter is approaching I will use it with curd.  It not only made the skin look soft and radiant but also helped a lot in reducing the redness of the face due to acne.  It actually leaves my skin feeling refreshed & calm.  I have also noticed that Forest Essentials Multani Mitti Ubtan helps in reducing the tan.  So I am very much happy with the result and so does my mom  😆  I usually leave it on for 15 to 20  minutes and rinse it out with cold water.  It leaves skin feeling soft, supple, super clean and fresh.  In one use only you will see the result.

Overall I am pretty much impressed with result of the Ubtan as it contains all natural product & to make this unique product Forest Essentials incorporate the Traditional Ayurvedic processes i.e. Hand grinder.
