Lip scrubs are not new but I have always used natural home-made. But you cannot make scrub every time because of the busy and hectic schedule. So, when I saw this forest essential lip scrub at the store I was so excited. I am using it from the last one month and today I will review it for you all.
Price: Rs 475
Forest Essentials lip scrub is used to gently exfoliate dry dead skin on your lips and prepare them for a nourishing butter lip balm. The scrub contains very fine cane sugar, olive oil, Kokum butter, organic beeswax and fresh fruit and flower juices to buff and smooth the lips.
My experience with Forest Essential Lip Scrub-Cane sugar:
Forest Essential Lip Scrub-Cane sugar comes in a golden plastic cute tub packaging which has a tight screw lid on top. The scrub is thick so you don’t need to worry about leakage. The lid shuts tightly thus the packaging is travel-friendly. I love the cute packaging; it’s so attractive and pretty. You can easily carry it along while travelling as the size is compact. The packaging has hygienic issue as you need to dip your fingers in it but I don’t have any such issue.
The fragrance is so nice that half of the time you just want to open the lid and keep smelling it, yes i do it sometimes. The scent is citrusy and it will not bother anyone even those who have sensitive nose. The first time i touched the lip scrub and I was like ‘Oh my god, this is so coarse’. But after spreading it on lips, the granules melt due to the jojoba oil present in it. The texture is very nice and it doesn’t feel harsh on lips. Since the texture is not harsh, you can use it daily like I do.
I just take a pea sized amount, spread it on my lips and then massage my lips for 2-3 minutes. Then I wash off the scrub and apply lip balm. I sometimes skip using lip balm after using it and my lips don’t feel dry because this scrub leaves my lips hydrated.
It removes dead skin from my lips and exfoliates them completely and makes them feel baby soft. I also use it while applying matte lipstick as it prepares my lips perfectly for lipstick. The best part about this lip scrub is that it’s edible, yes I once licked it and it’s so tasty. So, even if it gets into your mouth don’t panic and enjoy the taste.
