Eye Makeup for Brown Eyes Tutorial

Hey Girls,

After a Long Time, TMB is Back in Action Again! Β Here is a Post from our Newest Girl Himani πŸ™‚

Hey all!!! Today I will be sharing a tutorial on eye makeup for brown eyes. Since brown is the most common eye color in the world, you definitely need to stand out from the crowd. The easy way is to pick up and wear those shades that work for the brown in your eyes. Well, it is not that you cannot wear all the shades on the eyes, however, there are some specific colors that will make your brown eyes look more beautiful and different.

The shades that work on brown eye color are purple, cobalt blue, teals, gold and green. Of course, brown eye shadows also look lovely on brown eyes, but slightly boring. You can make endless combinations from all the above shades. Today I will share with you a wearable makeup for brown eyes. I have tried to keep the tutorial as simple as possible. However, you can add more or delete any step as per your requirements.on brown eyes, but slightly boring. You can make endless combinations from all the above shades. Step 2:Apply an orangey brown as a transition shade just above the crease. Blend it well and try to make a slight wing shape on the outer corner, rather than a round shape. Step 6:This is the most important step of the look. Take a nice blending brush, like MAC 217, and blend the dark brown shadow well. Pull the shadow in the crease also. Blend the edges of the eye shadows nicely so that there is no line between orangey brown, purple and dark brown eye shadow. Apply the purple eye shadow again on the lid, if you feel it has lost its vibrancy during blending.

Step 7:Since the lid color is matte, apply a shimmery lavender shade on the inner corner of the eyes. Apply a bit on the inner 1/3rd lid as well. Blend well with the lid shade. I have used Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Lavender.

Step 9:Tight line the upper lash line. I have used Bourjois Khol & Contour in Ultra Black.

Step 10:Apply a winged eye liner to your upper lash line. I have used Essence Gel Eyeliner in Midnight in Paris. If you are not a pro at applying an eye liner, use an eye pencil to line the upper lash line. Do not worry about the line being clean. Smudge the line a bit with a black eye shadow. This will smoke out the look and save your day.

Step 11:To bring out the brown in the eyes more, apply a bright bluish-violet eyeliner in the lower lash line. I have used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Ultraviolet. You can use a black liner as well, if you want to keep the look simpler.

Step 12:Mix purple and dark brown eye shadow and blend the lower lash line liner, using a pencil brush. This will add a sultry smokey effect to the eye look.

Once the eyes are done, we need to move on to the face. One thing to note is that since the makeup for eyes is generally heavy, you need to have a simple but a flawless base. Firstly, apply a primer and your favorite foundation. Dab concealer, wherever you need to cover imperfections. Pay special attention to under-eyes, as dark circles will spoil the whole eye look. Apply a light pink blush and highlighter to the cheeks. Wear a pink lipstick to complete the look. Try to keep rest of the makeup simple as your purple eyes will do the needful. This makeup can be worn for any special occasion or a night out. You can wear this even during the day by toning the eye shadows.
