Everybody loves to travel even for a short trip of 2 days. But while travelling can be stressful if you are travelling in harsh summers or winters. And no matter what, it takes a certain toll on the skin. Trying to look good is on everybody’s wish list. As we have seen our celebs who are effortlessly stylish while on airport (and I am like… how they can manage to look so cool all the time.. Ugh!)
Well, let’s have a look what can be done while on the go.
Drink plenty of fluids
No matter whether you are visiting loo quite a frequent times but keeping yourself hydrated should be the top most priority for every individual. It will keep your skin hydrated against the cabin pressure!
Wear Minimal Makeup
Never wear full face of makeup while flying. Because there are always certain limitations from airlines about the things which you can carry! Which means you might not necessarily take your gentle cleanser or toner with you. Hence keep the makeup minimal.
Carry Blotting Tissues
Always carry blotting tissues to take off that excess oil or even dirt.
Face Mist for Refreshing feeling
Always have a bottle of face mist to take off that tired feeling & get refreshed within minutes. Face mist or thermal waters not only hydrates but also acts as a makeup remover & toner!
Never forget a Sunblock
Never ever forget an SPF. It is the utmost important to carry your sunblock whether you are travelling to beach or to any other destination. Neglecting sunscreen can lead to ageing, pigmented skin which I am sure nobody wants. Hence apply your SPF religiously! See Lotus Herbals UV Screen Matte Gel Review
Don’t forget your hands
I don’t think I need to tell this but a sanitizer is a must while travelling. Also carry your favorite hand cream to keep them hydrated. As our hands are also exposed to harsh conditions & when we wash our hands it gets dehydrated hence it is important to put on the cream.
When in college I used to love Mehandi as my mom always pampered me whenever I have Mehandi on my hands. She would feed me with her hands (ohhh.. I so miss my spinster days 😛 especially my mom’s delicious food for me as my family lives in Nagpur). Anyways gone are the days & my craze for Mehandi started fading.
But this year I thought of getting Mehandi for Diwali as I am going to Mamma’s house ( Yeyyyyy… Happy Dance) & I am sure she will pamper me like anything 🙂
Well, traditionally people applied Mehandi on their hands & feet for medicinal purposes as it acts as a cooling agent & soothes the senses of the body. As the love for Mehandi grown people started applying in various occasions too. It is said that during all these festivities woman has immense pressure to decorate the house, to make various types of delicacies & hence Mehandi is applied to calm the pressure. But now a days it has applied as temporary tattoos also especially in western countries. In India many intricate type of designs are applied. So we have shortlisted a few designs for you. Let’s have a look!
Arabic Mehandi– it is anonymous the origin of this type of design but I think as name suggests it must have originated somewhere in Arabic Country 😛 (Full marks for my logic :-D). Modern people, I mean, working girls don’t have much of time to sit & apply traditional Mehandi so they opt for this design as it looks very modern & time to put on is very less compared to traditional ones.
Simple Mehandi – some people just want to apply Mehandi for the sake of religious purpose. Hence they can use designs like flowers. (See below)
Intricate Mehandi Designs– such designs are mainly used in festivities like Teej, Diwali & Rakshabandhan.
Bridal Mehandi– as the name suggests it is applied when one is getting married. Generally face of bride & groom is drawn creatively. Also many people draws the faces of deities like Ganesha, Laxmi, etc.
Do share your pics if you are planning to apply Mehandi this Diwali. Till then…….. C Ya!!!!
It’s been a long that I said Hi to all you guys. Just got real busy with professional & personal life (sometimes I feel like going to Himalayas & stay there.. Ugh!). But as Diwali is just around the corner (the only reason of me being Happy now) I thought of doing a basic post which I know most of the ladies would be craving for. Today in my office we had a nice Rangoli competition & the thought touched my mind- why not do a Rangoli post! So here are the Rangoli Ideas this Diwali.
Many people draw Rangoli in any auspicious functions & Diwali being the highly celebrated festival in India, all ladies would be gearing up for the Rangoli Designs. So here is collation of designs. So let’s see the designs. I have also incorporated the designs which were drawn in my office.
The most basic Rangoli is free hand rangoli. Even if you don’t know how to draw I am sure you will find the way to work out for it. It is like drawing on the canvas of your mind (just in practical :-P)
Then comes the highly appreciated Sanskar Bharti. It is one of the cleanest & mostly drawn by Maharashtrian people based in Maharashtra. If you know the basic trick of drawing then I am sure you won’t find this method difficult.
Rangoli designs portraying Ganesha are extremely common amid Diwali as Hindus think Ganesh as the most opportune deity. You can make a superb rangoli by adding brilliant hues to it.
You can also let the horses of your mind run & make the most creative rangoli based on any topic which you think can be portrayed like the one drawn in my office.
Peacock designs are also the most used designs in Rangoli as it looks wonderful with all the bright colors.
So I hope you will incorporate any of these Rangoli designs & make your Diwali colorful. Do let me know which design you are using! Till then……. C ya!

The easy way is to pick up and wear those shades that work for the brown in your eyes. Well, it is not that you cannot wear all the shades on the eyes, however, there are some specific colors that will make your brown eyes look more beautiful and different.
The shades that work on brown eye color are purple, cobalt blue, teals, gold and green. Of course, brown eye shadows also look lovely on brown eyes, but slightly boring. You can make endless combinations from all the above shades. Today I will share with you a wearable makeup for brown eyes. I have tried to keep the tutorial as simple as possible.
