Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss Sugarbomb Review
I love lip glosses because they give hint of color with glossy sheen. My sister knows my love for glosses so when so she gifted me this Benefit gloss on my birthday. I was really excited to try this high-end gloss and today I will review it for you all.
Price: $16 or INR 1100 in Sephora
Our new plush glosses glide on extra smooth and feel ahhh-mazingly silky & luxurious. The six irresistible shades, from sultry nudes to punchy pinks, come in soft-squeeze tubes with a custom tip designed for perfectly even application.
My Experience with Benefit Sugar Bomb Ultra Plush:
Benefit Ultra Plush Lip-gloss comes in a see-through plastic tube with a slanted tip like any ordinary lip-gloss. I like the packaging, it’s sleek, cute and travel friendly. You can just throw in your bag without worrying about leaking or spillage. There are four shades available in the ultra-plush lip gloss range and all the fours shades have different colored packaging. So, if you have more of these then also you will not have any problem.
The gloss has a very sweet vanilla like fragrance which is not at all over-powering but it’s noticeable. I really like the fruity scent and I don’t think even anyone will have an issue with it. The fragrance vanishes after 20-25 minutes of application.
I am going to review the shade “Sugar Bomb” which is a mid-tone nude shade with slight shimmer particles. The shimmers are not at all chunky or glittery in fact they just add a glossy sheen to the shade. The shade looks deep in the tube and even when swatched but when applied on lips it sheers out while blending. The shade is good for daily use because it’s a very bright shade; it just adds a hint of color. If you love MLBB (my-lips-but-better) shades then you will also like this one. I just wish it was more pigmented.
The formula is non-sticky and very silky. It glides easily on lips without making you feel uncomfortable. It’s not very light-weight and you will not forget that you’re wearing any gloss but still it never feels heavy. I really liked the concept and the formula. The gloss is extremely hydrating and it keeps lips hydrated for more than 4 hours which is really good and you don’t need to apply any balm underneath. I hate glosses which are sticky because I usually leave my hair open and I don’t like when they stick to my lips. This gloss is non-sticky and my hair never sticks to my lips so it’s a WIN-WIN for me. The gloss has glossy sheen to it and the staying power is pretty average. It stays for only 3 hours on my lips but even after the color fades, it moisturizes lips.
- Love the travel friendly simple packaging
- Very pretty shimmery pinkish nude shade
- Texture is non-sticky
- Glides easily
- Doesn’t feel heavy on lips
- Moisturizes lips for more than 4 hours
- I really love the fruity fragrance
- The shade has noticeable glossy sheen
- Lacks pigmentation
- Average staying power
Will I Recommend? The Benefit Ultra Plush Lip-gloss in shade Sugar bomb is a very prey pinkish nude shade. The formula is light-weight, non-sticky and silky smooth. The lip gloss is pretty average because of the low staying power and it also lacks pigmentation. I would not recommend you to spend so much money on this as it’s not worth the price.
